Instead of joining a Gym, which you’ll probably stay motivated enough to attend for a couple of months, but pay for a year. Why not get outside, take in some fresh air and achieve something you’ll remember for the rest of your life?! There’s nothing like a target to keep you motivated!

"The Mob" raise over £12,000

Between them, eight intrepid team members blew away their target by raising £12,000 for new, local charity SpecialEffect, during their 3 Peaks campaign this summer. So a massive congratulations to Bill Donegan, Tom Donegan, Ed Dorling, Simon Bennett, Nick Moglia, Rod Densham, Andrew Philpott and Anthony Murphy.

Julieanne to Star at AGM

After completing the 3 Peaks successfully within 24 hours and the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in 12 hours, Julieanne Jefferies is to regale this year's challenges and fundraising drive at the Young Farmers AGM on Nov 27th.

Charities need your help more than ever!

While wishing you’d spent less on Christmas and in particular the hangover you’re currently embracing this fine new year’s day, please spare a thought for press filled stories of charities severely hit by the financial crisis http://www.thirdsector.co.uk/bigIssues/details/58018/. Donations dropping, Corporate support disappearing, huge jobs cuts at major charities, reserves drying up, reduced return on investments, less and less money left in wills, £200m charity money gone in Icelandic bank collapse. Yet at the same time the last 12 months have seen a huge increase in demand for charity services. Perhaps not surprising as food prices increase, more people lose their jobs and homes, the elderly find it harder to pay steeper and steeper heating bills and yet are living longer, the NHS continues to cut services...

It’s the reason why it’s more important than ever you dust off those hiking boots, running shoes, or whatever does it for you and achieve that lifelong ambition to run a half marathon, climb a mountain or just do something simple that you’ll enjoy, to support people in a worse position than you, but who are crying out for support like never before! So please join in.
